These trucks are said to apply new standards of safety, energy efficiency, and ergonomics. The innovations include a new ergonomic operator compartment with intuitive controls as well as an interactive color touchscreen. A lithium-ion energy pack energizes the models.
Toyota has been offering reach trucks for more than 25 years. The new trucks continue the tradition of innovative features that have included tilting cab, transitional lift control, and 360° steering.
The new innovations of this version of the company’s reflex trucks focuses on four key elements –- intelligent energy, intuitive and interactive driver experience, and enhanced material handling operation.
Intelligent Energy Packs
Toyota is offering three choices of the lithium-ion energy packs designed to meet customers’ specific needs.
The energy pack includes innovations in the charging process, which permits even the smallest energy pack to work around the clock.
In addition, driver experience has been improved on the BT Series. This includes a redesigned operator compartment, new ergonomic features, and enhanced safety and performance.
The new cabin provides intuitive operation of the truck with a new steering unit with palm support for optimal driver feeling and a new main control console placed to the right of the driver. Comfort for the operator is not neglected. The company offers a high-quality air suspension seat as an option.
Color Touchscreen Display
The new color touchscreen display provides a higher level of intuitive control and interactivity. With the new display, it is easier to read information and offers direct access to programmable functions to enhance operator performance.
Includes Toyota’s I_Site
All Toyota reach trucks are connected smart trucks. They are factory equipped with integrated telematics that can be connected to Toyota’s I_Site. It includes such I_Site features as Smart Access that allows only authorized drivers to start the truck and Pre-Operational Check, which assures that the driver performs an automated check before each shift.
The new trucks feature a capacity that ranges from 1.4 to 2.5 tons with lift heights of up to 13 meters.
Toyota plans to release two new models that will expand the capability of the series to include a cold store cab and a narrow chassis option.
