Flexi Introduces Smart Stop System For Warehouse Trucks

Narrow Aisle Ltd, maker of the Flexi line of warehouse trucks, has introduced the Flexi Smart Stop System.

Flexi Smart Stop System from Narrow Aisle Ltd. disables Flexi trucks if they hit an object.

The system is an in-aisle sensor that immediately disables Flexi warehouse trucks if the chassis touches an object including a pallet load, rack, or rack guard.

Narrow Aisle’s in-house research and development team of software engineers developed the device.

When engaged, the system locks out the truck’s drive system if a Flexi warehouse truck touches a load or rack when turning in an aisle. The truck cannot be re-started until the driver reports the

details of the collision to the appropriate manager, thus assuring driver accountability.

The touch-sensitive technology has been used already as a safety device in the elevated work platform industry.

Currently, the system can be used with the Flexi Smart range articulated forklifts that has digital control over all drive, hydraulic and steering functions.
