Toyota Expands IC Pneumatic Forklift Category

Toyota Material Handling has expanded its line of high capacity core internal combustion pneumatic forklift line. The new unit is available in five different models ranging in capacity from 22,000 – 30,000 –lbs.

The forklifts are ideal for lumber, steel and automotive related businesses and are designed with the versatility to perform a range of heavy-duty tasks where major strength is required.

The new units are assembled in the United States.

A Cummins four-cylinder diesel engine powers the new pneumatic forklifts and offers superior torque and 173-horsepower. The powertrain includes a Dana TE-10 transmission with electronic control. The unit also features a new drive axle that is durable for high capacity and outdoor applications. Durability is also enhanced due to a high-capacity cooling system.

The lift also includes enhanced operator control, comfort and safety. The new line comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen display that offers key forklift information and advanced diagnostics. Fingertip controls permit the driver to easily adjust hydraulic functions.

The operator’s cabin includes low-mounted tilt cylinders and pillar-free front glass for clear, unobstructed view. An optional pre-operation checklist and PIN code entry system limits access to only pre-approved, properly trained operators. It is also equipped with the innovative MD4 display that provides real-time performance and diagnostic insight. For example, it provides data on the live fuse box and pressure readings the driver can monitor from the cabin.

Customers are allowed to customize their orders to fit the ergonomic and comfort preferences they require. The customization pairs the standard premium cab with air-ride seat and climate controls.
