Toyota Material Handling Group Unveils New Powered Pallet Trucks
The process of innovating trucks for warehouse or other distribution chain use is an ongoing affair for Toyota Material Handling Group. The company is always making innovative improvements to its line of trucks. In this case, the company has unveiled a number of new powered pallet trucks.
The series of trucks include:
• Compact Powered Pallet Trucks
• Pedestrian Powered Pallet Trucks
• Platform Powered Pallet Trucks
• Stand-In Powered Pallet Trucks
• Rider-Seated Powered Pallet Trucks
Compact Powered Pallet Trucks
These pallet trucks are entry level and include optional in-vehicle charging. The trucks are up to 1.3 tons in weight and are smart trucks.
Dubbed the LWE130, these trucks are lightweight and ideal for applications that require a small truck in confined areas. They are ideal for use in retail stores and supermarkets and as on-board delivery vehicles. The machines are designed to operate quietly and feature programmable driver parameters. They come with a built-in charger and an alternating current motor for improved energy efficiency.
These trucks are equipped with telematics hardware that can be connected to fleet management software. This permits a fleet manager to monitor the trucks’ activities and assists fleet managers in developing routines that are more productive, safer, and more efficient.
Pedestrian Powered Pallet Trucks
Designed to be easy to use, these trucks come with a lithium-ion battery. They are up to 2.5 tones in weight and are also smart trucks.
Known as Walkie trucks, they are ideal for light duty application. That would include horizontal transport, loading and/or unloading, and order picking. They include an ergonomic tiller arm with fingertip controls and a Click-2-Creep feature that assists in maneuvering the machine in tight spaces. They also include BT Powerdrive and are equipped with telematics hardware making them a smart truck that can be connected to fleet management software. This permits a fleet manager to monitor their activities and use the data that they generate to improve performance and efficiency.
Platform Powered Pallet Trucks
Designed to be maneuverable and available with a lithium-ion battery, these trucks weigh as much as 2.5 tons and are also smart trucks.
Known as the P-Series, these trucks are ideal for longer distances and more demanding material handling tasks. The trucks combine high load capacities with class-leading compactness, optimum stability and increased safety for the driver and the load. The trucks feature a small turning radius for improved maneuverability and can handle high speeds. They are extremely productive and include a folding platform, one-touch foldable gates and adjustable steering arm so they are easy to drive. They, too, are smart trucks.
Stand-In Powered Pallet Trucks
Multi-directional, these trucks include 180° electronic steering and weigh up to 2-tons.
Ideal for long distance operation, these trucks offer full protection for the driver and are safe and comfortable to handle. Due to their multi-directional operation, these trucks ensure comfortable driver positioning for a great driving experience. They are also compact for optimum maneuverability.
Rider-Seated Powered Pallet Trucks
These trucks have high drive speed of up to 10 km/h, enhanced driver comfort and weigh up to 3-tons. Also a smart truck, they can handle multiple loads in long-distances. Dubbed the R-series, they are designed to keep the driver safe. The cabin features an adjustable seat, steering wheel and pedals for optimum driver comfort. The trucks are equipped with telematics hardware that can integrate with fleet management software. This allows a fleet manager to easily monitor their activities and assists in improving productivity, safety and efficiency.
